Course Description

LEARNING OBJECTIVE
This course aim to meet the following overall learning objective(s):

Obtain knowledge and understanding of forces involved, related to ship handling
Obtain competence of planning and manual manoeuvring in open sea, narrow waters, and ports
Improve skills in performing good Bridge Team Cooperation and communication
Improve knowledge, understanding and skill in use of all propulsion machinery, navigational equipment, thrusters, steering systems and deck equipment involved
Improve knowledge, understanding and skills in use of anchor(s)
Improve knowledge, understanding and skills in use of tug(s)
Obtain knowledge, understanding and skills in use of ROT-technique

TARGET GROUP
Masters, Chief Officers and Junior Officers employed
as OOW on any type of vessels.

Valid D3 Certificate of Competency
